With just over a month to go before its release and a plethora of teasers, trailers, and TV spots behind us, you could be forgiven for thinking that we had seen, if not the last trailer then certainly the last new footage that we’d get before the film hit theaters. But as it happens, Lucasfilm has released a second international trailer for the film.

As might be expected, this new trailer brings with it some new footage. But while much of the footage featured has been presented elsewhere, the new footage does include some exciting material, which includes Darth Vader. The prospect of Vader’s return to the big screen has been one of the most exciting aspects of ‘Rogue One’. And while it remains to be seen how big of a role the iconic Sith Lord will play in the film, his mere presence is enough to set fans on pins and needles. The trailer is available below:

In addition to the new international trailer, we also reported on the recent release of a (fan made) supercut trailer that assembled all of the footage available at that time in roughly chronological order. That trailer can be found here, though please be advised that some of its content may qualify as minor spoilers.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, the events of ‘Rogue One’ take place shortly before the original 1977 film, following a group of Rebel spies who find themselves tasked with stealing the plans to the Death Star and delivering them to the Alliance.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ will arrive in theaters on December 16, 2016, almost exactly one year after the release of ‘The Force Awakens’. The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, and Alan Tudyk.
