It’s become a common practice in recent years for studios to release outtakes and blooper reels online ahead of a film’s release on home video. Now, with the home video release of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ only a few weeks away, 20th Century Fox has done exactly that, as the film’s blooper reel has hit the web.

While most of these gag reels tend to be relatively short, this one bucks that trend, clocking in at nearly eight and a half minutes. Highlights included Nicholas Hoult’s impression of a drill sergeant, Jennifer Lawrence’s myriad calls for lunch, James McAvoy’s explanation of his body language, and Hoult reacting to Mystique identifying Nightcrawler as “my illegitimate son by Azazel.” Also notable is virtually every interaction between McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, all of which make clear that the chemistry between the two actors extends to the off-camera world, not unlike that of their predecessors Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart.

While a gag reel is set to be included with the upcoming blu-ray release, it has not been confirmed whether or not it will be the same one featured here. Additional blu-ray extras that have been announced include an audio commentary with director Bryan Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg, a selection of deleted and extended scenes, a behind the scenes documentary, and a video recorded at the film’s wrap party.
