Just because Disney is a huge faceless corporation that owns all of the entertainment on the planet doesn’t make them evil as they’ve just released the second episode a fan created ‘GoRogue’ animated series. Disney and LucasFilm are using toys from the upcoming ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ to tell a new tale which was written, directed, and produced by a team of the biggest ‘Star Wars’ fans on the planet.

The first installment was viewed over 2.7 million times after it debuted last week and I’m sure the second one will do just as well. The second chapter “picks up with Jyn Erso working together with an unlikely group of heroes to outsmart the Empire and prevent the completion of the LEGO Death Star. ”

You can check out the second chapter of ‘GoRogue’ right here:

The toys included are all from Hasbro, LEGO, FUNKO, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel, and Disney Store! There is a huge variety for them to use and honestly, they’ve put together something fun and special. Talk about truly making a film to sell toys in a way that would have made ‘Transformers’ and ‘G.I. Joe’ jealous beyond belief in the 80’s.

We also have a closer up look at some of the stills from ‘GoRogue’ if you don’t have time to watch the movie right now but are still curious as to the look that they were able to capture:

This is truly a fun way for the franchise to interact with fans for making and sharing original content. It isn’t every day you get to see both new toys ahead of time, being used to tell a story for fans by fans.

Are you enjoying the ‘GoRogue’ series and plan on checking out the rest of it? Do you think that Disney will make this canon or is it just for fun? Share your thoughts below!

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ hits American theaters on December 16, 2016.
