We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! While there were a few nuggets of other information out there for us this week, we are heavily (i.e.- almost completely) focusing this week’s attention on all of the fantastic ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ collectibles that have just been announced! THUNDERCATS! HOOOOO-LD ON!
As if they hadn’t already done enough by cancelling the upcoming ‘Thundercats Classics’ line before it even began to ship out, Matty Collector sent out an email to all subscribers this week to inform them that their first figure, Lion-o, would be delayed. The email itself was fairly vague, stating that they expect Lion-O to ship before the end of the month still (as he was supposed to ship the first week in September originally), leaving fans completely unsure of when they can expect their subscription orders to arrive.

This comes as a kick to the proverbial teeth as this line is already announced as ‘dead on arrival’ with the shuttering of Mattel’s Matty Collector department at the end of this year bringing an end to this line. Some people are holding out hope that the team at Super7 will be able to keep the ‘Thundercats Classics’ line going the same way they are going to be continuing Mattel’s ‘Masters Of The Universe Classics’ line going after Matty Collector ends, but only time will tell.
Hasbro Reveals ‘Rogue One’ Plans

Jakks Is Big On ‘Rogue One’
The team at Jakks Pacific is throwing their hat into the ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ ring as well with their new ‘Rogue One’ waves of ‘Big Figs’ action figures! These figures are in a larger 20″ and 31″ scale, so they’re a bit bigger than most of the offerings from other companies producing ‘Rogue One’ figures.
In their 20 inch line fans can look forward to Jyn Erso, K-2SO, an Imperial Stormtrooper, and the new Imperial Deathtrooper!

Occasionally, Funko likes to release a few random POP! These are all heading to stores now!

Funko’s line of POP! Vinyls based on the hit AMC zombie drama ‘The Walking Dead’ is set to continue with yet another wave! The latest wave is due out in October and includes fan favorites like Negan, Jesus, Rosita, Daryl, Carl, and Gabriele!
