While most shows of the fall season won’t arrive until October, fans of ‘American Horror Story’ are in luck, because the new season of Ryan Murphy’s hit anthology series arrives a bit early, in mid-September. But considering that the nature of each season is kept pretty firmly under wraps, we still don’t quite know what this cycle will be about.
But these three new teasers may give us a clue and they come directly from series star Lady Gaga, who made her ‘AHS’ debut last year as the lead in season five, ‘Hotel’. Her turn as the vampire-like Countess even won her a Golden Globe award.

If I had to guess, it appears that this series may deal with demons or some other similar type of monsters.
The first trailer is the most vague, just showing a decrepit house with black smoke spewing from a chimney. The black smoke forms a six. It could just be normal smoke, or it may hint at something more sinister like a cremation chamber, perhaps?
The second shows a demonic/monstrous hand grabbing a knife which is dangling like a mobile, presumably above a baby of some kind. Is it human? (Probably not.) Then a demonic/monstrous hand reaches up and snatches the knife for some sinister purpose. (This certainly won’t be the first demonic/monstrous baby on the show.)
The third shows even more demonic claws grasping at a pair of bare feet that are running down a dark hallway, most likely in the same rickety manor shown from a distance in the first clip.
A popular fan theory is that this season will actually be a sequel of sorts to ‘Murder House’, the first installment and that the demon baby is Michael, the baby that Connie Britton’s character Vivian gave birth to, who was taken in by Jessica Lange’s Constance. Perhaps Constance took him to this secluded farmhouse to raise away from prying eyes.
Murphy has been slowly weaving the various seasons of the show together, with various actors reprising their previous roles in newer seasons. He also admitted that “children” will be a theme this season, so the popular fan theory supports that.
Sarah Paulson is expected to return, but hasn’t been confirmed. The same goes for Evan Peters, who has also been in every season since the beginning. Already confirmed to be returning for this season are Gaga, Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Matt Bomer.
