I was already excited for the 80-esque horror and science fiction series ‘Stranger Things‘ coming out on Netflix and the latest trailer has only driven that feeling home. Matt and Ross Duffer are bringing us something amazing in July and while there was already a vibe that it would be something akin to what Steven Spielberg would have put out in the 80’s it now feels like an homage to his work. I know that the best parts of a movie or show are cut for the trailers but if they can keep up this level of quality throughout the series I won’t just be checking out the show but obsessing about it for quite some time to come.

If I have any complaints at all is that the series will only be eight episodes long when it is released.

You can check out the trailer below:

Much like the majority of Spielberg’s 80’s classics the kids truly steal the show here and give us an adventure of epic proportions.

Are you looking forward to the release of ‘Stranger Things’? Do you think that we’ll have a hit on our hands or will the best parts of the show just be in the teasers? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

99 out of a hundred times, the missing kid is with a parent or relative. What about the other time?

A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine.

Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden) serve as writer, directors and co-showrunners of the series, and are executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum, Real Steel, Date Night). Shawn Levy also serves as director. Stranger Things is a Netflix original series.”

All eight episodes of ‘Stranger Things’ will drop on Netflix on July 15th, 2016 for your binge watching enjoyment!
