The ‘Batman V Superman – Ultimate Edition’ keeps on delivering more tasty morsels.  The latest are some behind-the-scenes shots of Jason Momoa, filming his brief cameo as Aquaman in the film.  Of course, Momoa will play a much larger role in ‘Justice League’ next year before spinning off into his own solo movie in 2018.

Even though his cameo just lasted a few seconds, Momoa still had to fully suit up in his Aquaman garb to shoot it.

Check out these new up-close and personal shots which give you a better look at the new cinematic Aquaman:

Momoa is of Polynesian descent, which deviates from the Aryan character in the comics, but he seems to fit the image of the comic book Aquaman from the 90s, the “hook hand” version… minus the hook hand.

Even so, this tease is certainly intriguing.

‘Justice League’ and ‘Batman V Superman’ director Zack Snyder discussed Momoa’s casting, saying:

“I think that … Listen. If it’s about putting more fun in the movie, or embracing some of what I would call … I think it’s in all the characters inherently, this larger than life, big, fun stuff, especially when you’re dealing with the Justice League. Flash and with Momoa. I don’t have a scene with Momoa, but I’ve been now with Jason and the way he’s interacting with the group and it’s even just his Jason-ness. It’s the contrast to Ben and to Gal, is really interesting and fun.”

‘Justice League’ directed by Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Amber Heard, and Willem Dafoe opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.

‘Aquaman’ directed by James Wan, starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe opens in theaters on July 27, 2018.
