While it hasn’t been confirmed, it appears that Michael Keaton is officially playing the villain in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, rumored to be The Vulture.  But he won’t be alone.  We previously reported that ‘Prometheus’ star Logan Marshall-Green had come on board as a fellow antagonist.  Now comes word that another actor will also be siding with them against Tom Holland’s new Spidey.

Bokeem Woodbine, who recently starred on the second season of FX’s ‘Fargo’ and has dozens of television and film credits to his name, including ‘Ray’ and ‘Total Recall’.

It’s unclear who Woodbine and Marshall-Green will portray, but just because they are playing villains doesn’t mean they will be super villains.  After all, one major complaint about ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ was that it was overburdened with too many foes.  Maybe they are playing Keaton’s henchmen.

Then again… what if they’re rivals?

Vulturions-VultureIn the comics, there is a group called the Vulturions, who use The Vulture’s flight technology to commit crimes as a gang.  Unfortunately, they are using stolen technology and that pits not just the Wall-Crawler against them, but Adrian Toomes, the original Vulture.

But that’s just a guess.

The cast of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, which is now filming, is rapidly ballooning.  Marshall-Green was announced as joining the film along with sitcom and film star Martin Starr (‘Superbad’, ‘Knocked Up’).  Also recently added was fan favorite Donald Glover (‘The Martian’, ‘Community’), as well as Michael Mando (‘Better Call Saul’), Abraham Attah (‘Beasts Of No Nations’), and Hannibal Burress (‘Broad City’, ‘The Nice Guys’).

Selenis Leyva (‘Orange Is The New Black’) is also reportedly part of the cast, but that has yet to be officially confirmed.

They join the existing cast of Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri and Kenneth Choi.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is directed by Jon Watts and swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.

Are there any other villains you would like to see join The Vulture in this reboot?
