It looks like Universal Pictures is howling at the moon to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (‘Fast & Furious 6′,’San Andreas’) headline ‘The Wolfman‘ which is another planned installment in the Universal Monster Movie Cinematic Universe. This is coming right after he had announced that he had a project with Sony Pictures in place where he would be the executive producer on ‘Son of Shaolin’ and is still signed on for playing Black Adam in ‘Shazam‘ for Warner Brothers and DC. With a slew of blockbusters lined up on his plate, it will be fun to see if he is even interested in the ‘Wolfman’ and can fit it into his already busy schedule.

While ‘The Mummy’ kicking off the new take on Univeral’s horror classics in June of 2017, we still don’t know much about it aside from the cast which includes the likes of Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella. ‘The Wolfman’ is an even bigger mystery with no director or actors attached and the only known name behind the camera at this time is Aaron Guzikowski who is writing the film. With big names such as those mentioned above, Angelina Jolie in talks for ‘Bride of Frankenstein‘, and a rumored Johnny Depp to star in ‘The Invisible Man’ we know that Universal is putting their money where their mouth is to bring these horror icons back into the spotlight.

Do you think that Dwayne Johnson would be the perfect choice to play The Wolfman or would you rather see someone else get furry when a full moon hits? Share your thoughts below!

We’ll see ‘The Wolfman’ howling onto the big screen on March 30th 2018.
