Harley Quinn squad card

In a bizarre and very early promotional move, it seems that someone at the Warner Bros UK offices thought it was a good idea to feature a soccer line-up advertisement of the full cast of ‘Suicide Squad’ to help celebrate the squad selections for the England soccer team. The ‘Suicide Squad’ line-up was shown in a somewhat cheesy looking video, with each character shown with a card displaying their “reputation,” “real name,” “bio” and “abilities.” On the plus side you do get to see very clear images of each squad member and a brief description of who they are (in case you did not even know), on the negative side the whole things seems really odd, and a little pointless.

With any luck, as the movie premiere draws closer we will start to see the real advertising campaign for the movie, which fans are very excited about, and hopefully the campaign can match the excitement and give us some fun promotions, at least as good as the trailers we have been seeing for the film already. Check out the full video of the promo below, and then make sure to share your thoughts on the idea in the comments below!

Also, check out the full synopsis of the film after the promo below:

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
