Have you binged ‘Daredevil’ Season Two to the end yet? If not, maybe you should turn back.
SPOILER ALERT: After the final episode, Netflix has inserted a teaser for their next Marvel series, ‘Luke Cage’!
It is just just a teaser, so there are no spoilers for that series, but it does give a glimpse of that titular character, played by Mike Colter, whose skin is impervious as he walks in on a gang of gun-wielding thugs. “I guess you guys haven’t heard about me,” the hero announces.

“I’m about sick of always having to buy new clothes,” Cage states as the bad guys fire away, causing him no harm, but tearing his garments to shreds.
Colter himself announced that the show will premier on September 30, this year. ‘Luke Cage’ will be followed by ‘Iron Fist’ starring Finn Jones, and then the four headlining Netflix/Marvel heroes (including Daredevil/Charlie Cox and Jessica Jones/Krysten Ritter) will join together as ‘The Defenders’.
Cheo Hodari Coker serves as showrunner and executive producer of the new series and even wrote the first two episodes.
Joining Mike Colter are Mahershala Ali as Cornell Stokes a.k.a. Cottonmouth, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, and Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, with Frankie Faison, Darius Kaleb, Theo Rossi, Kellan C. Wingate and Jaiden Kaine.
Rumor has it, Finn Jones’ Danny Rand/Iron Fist will actually pop up on ‘Luke Cage’ before headlining his on show. This makes sense as these two heroes are best friends and crime-busting partners.
