batmobile

While comic book fans are currently loving ‘Deadpool’, the long incubating ‘Batman V Superman’ is just around the corner.  Can Warner Brothers’ high stakes DC competitor possibly give this R-Rated fan-favorite a run for its money?  Much less rival Marvel’s already established Cinematic Universe?

Well, the promotional cycle for ‘Batman V Superman’ is actually already winding down, so don’t expect much new footage to make its way to the public, at least not through traditional trailers and TV spots, but one very brief new clip has surfaced from… somewhere in Eastern Europe.

I’m not sure of the exact origin (feel free to help me out in the comments section if you can translate the text), but at any rate, it does offer a new look at Ben Affleck as Batman, driving the new Batmobile.  It doesn’t feature much in the way of dialogue, but this movie appears to be heavy on the action, so this does hint toward that.

You can watch for yourself below:

The armored tank-like appearance certainly hearkens back to the “Tumblers” from the recent Christopher Nolan ‘Dark Knight’ movies, but director Zack Snyder previously promised that this version will actually nod to the comics a bit more, with more overt bat silhouettes and such.

As a bonus, there was a brief glimpse of the new Batcave, which was previously teased in concept art.  We know that Wayne Manor has been destroyed, so it appears that Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) are actually living in this base, so expect it to be at least a little homier than the stark, wet compounds used in the previous films.

If any more new footage or info manages to surface in the month or so before the film opens, we’ll be sure and pass it along to you!

‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Jesse Eisenberg hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
