We’ve all been pining for ‘The X-Files‘ to return for a 10th season and it’s already on the finale and the trailer for this one is going to blow you away! Not only do we have a preview of “My Struggle II,” but also the synopsis and some stills from it as well!

The big thing we’re all waiting for is to see more of the Cigarette-Smoking man but we’ll also see the return of Annabeth Gish as Agent Monica Reyes with newcomers Robbie Amell as Agents Miller and Lauren Ambrose as Agent Einstein helping work a case of a mysterious illness spreading across the nation.

You can check out the teaser trailer for the episode below!

It has previously been mentioned that the series will be ending on a cliffhanger and all I can say from this trailer is that I Want To Believe that there will be more! Not even including how they tease us with the season’s ending but just the preview, the look, the chemistry, everything seems on point and Fox really needs to bring this back in 2017 for another set of episodes. Hopefully, more than 6 this time around.

Also, we have the episode’s synopsis to share with you right here:

The investigations that Mulder and Scully previously began with conspiracy theorist and web-TV show host Tad O’Malley (guest star Joel McHale) seem to have awakened powerful enemies. A widespread panic begins as people all over the country suddenly start falling gravely ill, and Scully must look within to try and find a cure. Meanwhile, Mulder confronts the man whom he believes to be behind it all, but another figure from Mulder and Scully’s past may prove to be the key to their salvation in the all-new “My Struggle II” Season Finale episode of THE X-FILES airing Monday, Feb. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (XF-1006) (TV-14; D, L, V) CC-AD-HDTV 720p-Dolby Digital 5.1

If that is still not enough for you, series creator Chris Carter says that the episode will be “the answer to the question posed by the first part of the two-parter [the season premiere] … It is the predicament of their lives brought into the most frightening spotlight that I could imagine. The predicament of: Where is their child?”

While Mulder clearly appears in the thick of it on what I want to see, here are some other stills of the episode to check in on the rest of the agents.
