It has been about six months since we saw the first trailer for ‘Suicide Squad’ at San Diego Comic Con. Though it may not seem that long since we’ve been seeing some new stills here and there while hearing the cast and crew talk about the movie a good bit since then, it really has been a while since we’ve gotten some new footage from the upcoming super villain team-up flick. But on Tuesday night after an all-new episode of ‘The Flash’, The CW has lined up two half-hour specials taking a look at the future of DC Entertainment in film and television. And as part of the second special titled ‘DC Film Presents: Dawn of the Justice League’, we’ll get an exclusive new trailer for David Ayer’s next movie . So ahead of the highly-anticipated preview, Warner Bros. has unleashed a set of BONE-us character posters featuring the cast.
Released on the film’s official Facebook page with the caption “Worst. Heroes. Ever.”, these stylish new posters take a departure from the typical photoshopped image showcasing the character in front of some chaotic background ala ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ or ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (or any blockbuster action movie really). The WB marketing team instead decided to create a series of colorful skulls meant to represent each member of the team. You can check them out in the gallery below, followed by the latest synopsis for the movie:
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
What do you think about the latest posters for ‘Suicide Squad’? Will you be tuning into The CW on Tuesday night to see the new trailer? Sound off in the comments.
