Ash Williams has been in quite a few interesting team up scenarios in the comic books so in keeping with that theme, Bruce Campbell (‘Army of Darkness’,’Burn Notice’) recently released a script of what would happen if Starz’ ‘Ash vs Evil Dead‘ crossed over with AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead‘ right in the first episode. Of course, while Rick was just a Sheriff before the Walker apocalypse, Ash was going up against Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, the undead from Lovecraft’s Re-Animator, Dracula, the Marvel Zombies, Xena, and so many more! In fact, Ash even had a 4-issue comic run where he tried to save Obama from the Deadite plague.

As it turns out, had the two shows crossed over, things would have ended much differently for the series and it wouldn’t air quite as long as it has so far. Lets take a look:

That does seem to be the exact kind of response Ash would give to Rick or just about anyone else he ran into. I’m sure ‘The Walking Dead’ fans would have missed out on the lack of Daryl Dixon but let’s be honest, he and Ash probably wouldn’t have gotten along that well anyway. With the fact that both of these two actors don’t seem to mind doing things a little out of the norm with their characters, I’d love to see them find a way to get together and make some kind of a spoof. Sadly in either comic or televised form this is probably just wishful thinking.

Would an ‘Evil Dead’ and ‘The Walking Dead’ crossover be something you’d want to check out? Do you think Ash would have been able to fight off most of the zombies by himself? Sound off below!
