Hello and welcome to yet another jam packed all new edition of Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! We’re only a few days shy of the infamous ‘Black Friday’, where there will be a literal cornucopia of toys on sale all across the country and almost every major retailer! We hope you’ve planned out your shopping routes, because things tend to get a little nuts out there, but for collectors it can quickly become one of the best haul days of the year! In the meantime, here’s the Toy News for the week of November 24th, 2015!
“That’s A Big Twinkie…”
Well, this new collectible isn’t quite a massive twinkie, but it’s certainly something that’s just as good! The team at Hollywood Collectibles Group have announced an all new Quarter-Scale premium Peter Venkman statue from the iconic ‘Ghostbusters’! This premium statue will come both as a standard release (1000 pieces) and a special HCG Exclusive edition (250 pieces) that includes a special ‘Ghost Trap’ accessory! From the fan favorite movie Ghostbusters, we are proud to present the first in our highly anticipated line of Officially Licensed Ghostbusters statues…Peter Venkman! Featuring an incredible likeness of the inimitable Bill Murray in character as Venkman, this incredibly realistic statue stands approx 19” tall on its Ghostbusters themed base. Imported Hulkbusting
If there was one thing that had people talking from this summer’s mega-blockbuster hit ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’, it had to be the Hulkbuster Iron-Man Armor! While we’ve seen quite a few toy versions of this armor since the film’s release, most have seemed a bit lacking, but that’s all about to change! Medicom has announced they will be releasing an all new super articulated Hulkbuster figure as a part of their MAFEX line. The figure is set to stand at around 10.6″ tall, so it will be pretty well scaled with most other 6″ scale figures like the Hasbro Marvel Legends toyline, or Figma’s import ‘Avengers’ line! There is no set price for this figure, which is set to release in Fall 2016, but the rumored price is set around $220.

Battle Toy-ale!
Medicom, the same people who are bringing you the awesome Hulkbuster figure we just talked about, are bringing two of next summer’s biggest hitters to life as well with the recently announced MAFEX Batman and Superman figures from the film ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’! Each of these stands at just over 6″ tall, and like all MAFEX figures, these two are both super articulated and include some awesome accessories like interchangeable hands and an articulated figure stand. Both of these guys also feature cloth capes for maximum realism! These figures are set to hit stores next July just in time to release alongside the film for around $47 each.

NECA Brings Cinemachines To Life
This week the team over at NECA revealed their all new toyline comprised entirely of vehicles! The all new Cinemachines line is set to bring the vehicles from your favorite films to life in your collection. The first wave of Cinemachines is set to be based on the ‘ALIEN’ franchise, and gives us iconic vehicles from the first two films ‘ALIEN’ and ‘ALIENS’ like the Derilict Engineer, M577 Personal Carrier, and more! unfortunately, these are a smaller scale, so they don’t quite work with your NECA ‘ALIENS” toyline, but they still look great! The Kingslayer Cometh!
Winter is here, and with it ThreeZero is bringing their all new 1:6 scale figure of The Kingslayer, Jaime Lannister from the hit HBO series ‘Game Of Thrones’! Jaime here is packed to the gills with accessories, like his Kings Guard armor, civilian garb as seen in earlier seasons of the series, an alternate set of hands, and of course, weapons! This new figure, which shares a strikingly spot-on resemblance to actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (who plays Jaime in the series), is the latest in ThreeZero’s ‘Game of Thrones’ series, following Ned Stark, Tyrion Lannister, and Jon Snow. We hope you like ‘The Walking Dead’, because the team at McFarlane Toys has announced their new 10″ tall ‘Vigilante Rick Grimes’ Deluxe Figure! This figure, which looks to be a repainted and partially retooled update of their previous 10″ scale Rick Grimes figure, gives us an updated look for Rick, and includes new accessories like his iconic red-handled Machete and the set of D-Rings, as well as Rick’s pistol. “Ya I’djits!”
Ever since Funko announced they had the license to produce collectibles based on the hit horror series ‘Supernatural’, one question had been burning in the mind of fans everywhere; “Where’s Bobby?”. The character of Bobby Singer was a huge part of the ‘Supernatural television series for roughly half of the series run (which is still going strong!), so it seems only fair that he too should get a POP! Vinyl figure to go alongside Sam, Dean, and Castiel. Well now fans can finally rest easy, as Funko has revealed the all new Hot Topic Exclusive Bobby Singer POP! Vinyl figure! Bobby should be hitting stores any time now, so keep your eyes peeled for him this holiday season! We are also getting yet another Castiel variant, this time in his civilian ‘Steve’ persona!

The POP! Without Fear
Earlier this year Marvel and Netflix teamed up to blow everyone away with their smash hit ‘Daredevil’ television series. Now they’re teaming with Funko to bring the show to life as Funko POP! Vinyl figures! Funko has announced that come Febuary 2016, you will be able to add the television versions of Daredevil, Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk, and ‘Masked Vigilante’ Darevil to your POP! Felicity Smoak Joins Team POP!
Fans of The CW’s ‘Arrow’ have been clamoring for her release ever since the ‘Arrow’ line of POP! Vinyls first released a few months back, and now Funko has answered the call! Felicity Smoak shall be joining the ‘Arrow’ Funko POP! lineup in January 2016, so be sure to keep an eye out for her!
