‘Scream Queens’ has turned out to be more campy that creepy, so as we tiptoe closer to Halloween, TV watchers need some real chills.  Luckily, FX’s hit anthology series ‘American Horror Story’ returns next week with its new season ‘Hotel.’

The all-star cast is comprised of many ‘AHS’ regulars and other actors who have formerly worked with producers Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy (who also, incidentally produce ‘Scream Queens’): Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock plus newcomers Lady Gaga and Max Greenfield.

So far we know that Gaga plays The Countess, the ringleader of a pack of non-vampire bloodsuckers based out of the sinister Hotel Cortez.  Also drug addiction, murder, deviant sex and family tragedy factor into the drama.  And be on the look out for familiar faces from previous installments of ‘AHS’ to make their ways through the blood red halls as this season further ties the continuity between the stories together.

As an appetizer, FX has released the opening title sequence for the show, which may offer some insight into new season.  The first thing you may notice is that the names of the cast members flicker between neon signs displaying the Ten Commandments… all of which are likely to be broken.

Check out the ominous opening below:

As a bonus, here is another teaser showing Bentley settling into his hotel bed for a nice rest.  That’s probably not going to happen when you see what’s underneath.  And you thought bedbugs were scary!

I’m not sure how this place stays in business.  It seems everyone that checks in dies before they can leave a Yelp review!

‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ debuts on Wednesday October 7, 2015.
