Today we’re taking a look at the latest teaser trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2‘ which shows us that a sister’s bond is forever. The series started because of Katniss saving Prim and this trailer shows us the evolution of these two characters. Those of us who have been following the series know all too well why Katniss is described as “a creature as unquenchable as the sun.”

While this is labeled as a trailer I do have to firmly put this in the teaser category. Yes it does clock in at nearly 2 and a half minutes but the bulk of the footage is from the original films. While I’m of course excited for the film, its disappointing that there isn’t anything new here.

You can check out the trailer below if you want to take a trip down memory lane.

I completely understand wanting to call back to what made the series great and put things in motion but something new would have been nice.

Are you looking forward to completing the series with ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’? Do you think that this was a fitting tribute trailer to the series or were you hoping to see something new?

Synopsis:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin], and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2′ stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland reprising their original roles from ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.’ The film will hit theaters on November 20th.
