‘Gotham’ returns on Fox on September 21st with an episode entitled “Damned If You Do” in which we see the show’s hero Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) fall in more ways than one.
Things are a bit up in the air following Oswald Cobblepot’s (Robin Lord Taylor) rise to power last season. As most know, Cobblepot is derogatorily called The Penguin, the name he will one day wear with honor as a crime boss and one of Batman’s most persistent opponents. But for the time being, Cobblepot and Gordon share an unstable camaraderie which will surely come back to haunt Gordon.
But before that, Jim sees his hopes dashed when he is stripped of his job as a Gotham City policeman. Desperate, he turns to Cobblepot which is clearly not the best idea. We also get a glimpse of Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) all grown up and having fallen in with the wrong crowd, setting the stage for her to one day assume the guise of Catwoman.
