Anna Paquin expresses her excitement to be returning to the original X-Men movie team and states that director Bryan Singer’s return to the franchise was instrumental in her agreeing to reprise her role as the pariah Rogue in the hit ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’  The film was a hit at the box office last year, but the movie was so star-studded and featured so many plot points, that Paquin’s role wound up getting completely cut.

But her storyline was lengthy enough– over 17 minutes– that rather than simply tacking her scenes onto the initial DVD/BluRay release as a bonus feature, Singer created a special longer director’s cut of the film in which Rogue’s sequence is restored to the larger movie.
