Though we have gotten a peek at characters such as Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, BB-8, and Kylo Ren already, Han Solo and Chewbacca became the first characters from the original trilogy to be seen onscreen in a piece of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ promotional material when they declared, “We’re home” in the second trailer . Fans across the galaxy were certainly ecstatic to see Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew return as the notorious smugglers and pilots of the Millennium Falcon, but

After Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker was featured as a voiceover in the most recent trailer for ‘The Force Awakens,’ it’s time for his sister to finally step into the spotlight courtesy of some leaked photos. Whether it was by hiring a bounty hunter or winning them in a game of sabacc, That Hashtag Show somehow acquired pictures of Carrie Fisher in costume as Princess Leia Organa. In the video below, you can check out this costume that matches up with some previously discovered concept art of Fisher’s new attire:

Based on the information provided at Star Wars Celebration, it’s no surprise that Leia’s new look appears to be more militaristic than before since she is the one that sends Oscar Isaac’s X-wing fighter Poe Dameron on the mission that finds him crossing paths with John Boyega and Daisy Ridley’s characters on Jakku. Keeping that in mind while checking out her new gear, one could conclude that the princess is one of the Rebel forces’ high-ranking officials. Of course, this is merely speculation, so who knows what we could find out between now and December before the film is released.

Until we know her role for sure, what do you think about Princess Leia’s new costume for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’? Do you have any ideas regarding her role in a galaxy far, far away? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments.
