Since filming began in Toronto for ‘Suicide Squad,’ we’ve seen a number of iconic DC Comics characters out and about on the streets of Canada in front of a camera including Harley Quinn, the Joker, and even Batman. But only days after director David Ayer declared that the shoot was “going dark” to the public, new photos and videos emerged of Floyd Lawton’s masked alter ego in action.

Thanks to some fans on Instagram, we can see Will Smith (or more likely his stunt double) as Deadshot as he repels down the side of a seven-story building and into the bed of a truck for a quick getaway. This marks the first time that the character has been seen in public in his full costume. You can check out the various posts featuring the maniac marksman below:

It’s currently unclear what Deadshot’s mission in this scene is. He could be working for Amanda Waller at this point, but it’s very possible that this takes place prior to his time on Task Force X as we’ve seen a few scenes that are assumed to be flashbacks already. Regardless of the when, where, and why of this scene, I’m sure that we’ll find out all the details in all due time. Until then, share your thoughts about Will Smith, his character in the film, or ‘Suicide Squad’ in general in the comment section.

‘Suicide Squad’ starring Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis, and Jared Leto hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
