With ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ only a few days away from release, developer CD Projekt RED has released two trailers to get their fans hyped up for their new game. But with the way their pre-order sales are going as well as the game’s pre-release ratings, the hype might already be up even without CD Projekt’s last minute push.

The first of the two trailers is a short video called ‘RAGE & STEEL’ which teases the game’s features and setting over some intense background music. This is a nice trailer to watch if you’d like to just get a feel for the game without learning too much going in. The second trailer is called the ‘Official Gameplay Trailer’ – unlike previous gameplay trailers, which were essentially live recorded footage, this new trailer shows bits and pieces of gameplay throughout the game and narrates some of the specific features. The video’s description gives a good summary of the trailer:

In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt you become Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire. You take on the greatest contract of your life — tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world. Your journey will take you across the Northern Realms, a vast continent filled with merchant cities, mysterious islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns to explore. Hundreds of armour and weapon upgrades await you, with lethal sword and magic skills at your disposal.

CD Projekt Red also announced that ‘Witcher 3’ has exceeded 1 million pre-orders, which should bode well to the game’s sells post release.

Reviews for the game are already appearing and they’re not looking too bad: IGN gave the game 9.3/10, Game Informer a 9.75/10, and Gamespot a whooping 10/10. Not a bad start for a game just days from release.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be out on May 19 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
