R2-D2 Becomes A Romantic Lead In This Short

Aw. Watch R2-D2 fall in love in this adorable short. Entitled ‘Artoo in Love’, our favorite droid strolls around San Francisco and learns about love and heartbreak.

‘Artoo in Love’ was written and directed by Evan Atherton who spends his daytime hours working at the software corporation Autodesk. Luckily for Atherton, he was able to use the 3D printers at Autodesk to help with props. Landis Fields, an effects artist with Lucasfilm created the effects making this short look visually spectacular.
