Today, the Playstation 4 will be getting an update to system software version 2.50, code named Yukimura, that will giving the system all sorts of features.

According to PlayStation’s blog post, here are the features that Yukimura includes:

Suspend/Resume
This feature will make it much easier to jump in and out of your games without needing to turn off and load the system. Players can put their PS4 system into ‘Rest Mode’ which will suspend their games, and then resume the game where they left off just by pressing the PlayStation button on the controller, waking up the system. This feature will be supported by most PS4 titles and cuts back considerably on loading times.

Back-Up and Restore HDD to USB
You can now upload your hard disc drive data onto and from a USB to your PS4 for easy transferring. Information that can be uploaded includes games, patches, download data, screenshots, settings, saved data, and video clips.

Find and Connect with Friends
This feature is made up of a bunch of small features that include: find friends through Facebook, send both friend and Real Name requests in one step, simplifies Party creation, and finally, makes it easier to see what you’re friends are playing and, if they’re online and you own the game, you can jump right into the game with them from either their profile page or your News Feed.

Share Earned Trophies and Optimize Your Trophy List
Fairly self explanatory, but to get into the specifics, when you earn a trophy the PS4 will make a screenshot you can easily share with friends, lets you share your trophy list on social media platforms, adds more trophy sorting options, and lets you delete games from your trophy list that have 0% completion.

Remote Play and Share Play
Games that can be played on 60 fps can be streamed on 60 fps for Remote Play and Share Play on supported devices

Automatic Installation for System Software Updates
Adds an option for automatic system software update installations.

Sub-Account Upgrade
To quote: “Enable users 18 years of age or older with sub-accounts to upgrade to a master account directly on PS4, removing restrictions on chat and enabling users to add funds to their Wallet, purchase content and more.”

Verified Accounts
Accounts under game developers, producers, designers, and community managers will be selected with verification badges.

Dailymotion
The SHARE button will also give the option to directly upload videos to Dailymotion.

The PlayStation Vita and PlayStation App for smart devices will be getting updated with complimentary features as well. These update will also be getting new accessibility options, such as enlarged text, increased contrast, and more, as well as supporting 60 fps streaming for Remote Play.
