‘The Consequence’ is the conclusion of a two-part DLC story campaign that began with ‘The Assignment’, which was initially released back in early March. It continues where the previous left off and puts players in control of Juli Kidman, one of the partners of protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, as she embarks on a personal mission that runs alongside the events of the  main campaign in ‘The Evil Within’.

Outside of the ominous teaser trailer below, not much has been revealed about what is to be expected in ‘The Consequence’ in terms of content. However, seeing as it is the conclusion to what started in ‘The Assignment’, there is bound to be some kind of ending to Kidman’s narrative arc, or at least some kind of closure. Regardless, more terrors are likely to be inbound to gamers looking to pick it up when it launches.

Both ‘The Consequence’ and ‘The Assignment’ are included in ‘The Evil Within’ Season Pass, which is priced at $19.99. On top of those two also comes an additional DLC pack that features the enemy monster known as Boxhead in his own single-player mission. Initially, ‘The Evil Within’ Season Pass had Kidman’s two-part DLC set for release after the Boxhead DLC, which was scheduled to released first. However, their release dates were rearranged to bring them forward.

Released back in October 2014, ‘The Evil Within’ is a survival horror game created by Shinji Mikami and his studio Tango Gameworks. In it, players take control of a veteran detective named Sebastian Castellanos as he investigates the scene of a mass murder at a local asylum. However, when Castellanos and his partners are suddenly attacked by a powerful force, he is dragged into a deranged world filled with hideous creatures where he must hopelessly fight for his survival.

‘The Consequence’ is set to release for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on April 21. European players will have to wait to download the DLC on April 22.
