One of the titles coming out of Marvel’s upcoming Secret Wars story line is ‘The All-New, All Different Avengers’ and they’ve decided to announce it in the most annoying way possible!
Remember last year when they were releasing all of those covers and slowly unveiling which characters were on them that not a single fan was praising? Yes, some genius at the House of Ideas decided that it was a good idea to go that route again! So on top of the one story line that is decimating the Marvel Universe as we know it (which fans are already on the fence about), we now have the return of their most annoying marketing gimmick from recent years.
Make Mine (headache from) Marvel!
Annoyance aside, we’ll be seeing ‘The All-New, All Different Avengers’ officially this coming May 2nd, 2015 as it will be one of the company’s titles for Free Comic Book Day. It was initially describes as a “look into the world that’s coming” and with ‘A-Force‘ being the all-female Avengers team we are shown at least two leading ladies for the upcoming series. Newcomer Thor and fan favorite (with myself included in that list as she’s become one of my must read characters) Ms. Marvel!
That gives us one Asgardian and one Inhuman. Who wants to take bets that we’ll get at least one human and mutant still in the mix? I’m pretty sure that figure in the center is the new Captain America. The rest I could hazard a few guesses but we’ll see.
We’ll still have a reveal of the last five characters slowly show up in the coming weeks if history repeats itself though we most likely won’t find out who the villain is quite yet.
As a bonus the issue also contains an ‘Uncanny Inhumans‘ feature by Charles Soule and Brandon Peterson.
Update: Vision and Nova have apparently also been added to the roster!
It’s your first taste of the all-new Marvel Universe as a blockbuster top secret Avengers creative team sets out on a new adventure that will have fans begging for more! Who will be Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when the dust settles from Secret Wars? Find out here!
