There has been a lot of talk lately about season six of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Since author George R.R. Martin won’t be releasing ‘The Winds of Winter’ this year, many fans are concerned that the show will surpass ‘A Dance With Dragons’ sooner rather than later and the series will operate without the roadmap of the sixth installment of his ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ series. By the looks of things, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be up a creek without a paddle in the sixth season of the acclaimed fantasy drama, but here’s the real kicker: We still have season five to worry about!

Recently, HBO released a good bit of promotional material for the fifth season of ‘Game of Thrones’ featuring some of the most beloved characters in the show’s existence so far. First, there’s a brand new poster featuring Tyrion Lannister on a boat. However, it seems quite out of place that one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons is in the Imp’s path. Does this mean that Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke’s characters are on a collision course in the upcoming season? Will they partner up to set Westeros ablaze? Has the Khaleesi maybe found a new strange bedfellow? I’m sure that we’ll find out when the show returns later this year. Until then, here’s the latest poster the fifth season:

In addition to seeing the adored character of Tyrion, three other fan favorites pop up in two brief clips previewing some upcoming storylines. First, we find Kit Harington’s Jon Snow confronting the Wildling King Mance Rayder about bringing people together. Then in the second clip, Gwendoline Christie’s Brienne of Tarth tells Podrick that it’s basically all downhill from here thanks to the people in charge of Westeros. You can see both of those clips below:

What do you think about the latest ‘Game of Thrones’ promotional material? How do you think Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen are connected? What is Jon Snow thinking by prodding at Mance Rayder? And what is next for Pod and Brienne? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.

‘Game of Thrones’ returns on April 12, 2015.
