After the heart-breaking end of issue twenty-one, we only have one more issue of Matt Fraction, David Aja, Annie Wu, and Matt Hollingsworth’s incredibly acclaimed ‘Hawkeye’ starring Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. Since debuting in 2012, the award-winning comic featuring the Avenging Archers has become a favorite of fans and critics alike, but when issue twenty-two hits the shelves of your local comic shop on February 18th, that’s the end of the line for the originators of Team Hawkguy. However, that doesn’t mean that these characters will disappear. Before ‘Secret Wars’ takes off later this year, blockbuster writer Jeff Lemire and Eisner Award-winning artist Ramon Perez will launch a whole new adventure called ‘All-New Hawkeye’. And though we have to wait until March to grab your copy, you can preview the upcoming title right here.

First announced back at New York Comic Con, ‘All-New Hawkeye’ will find Bishop and Barton teaming together once again. This time, past and present lives collide as Kate and Clint face a threat that will challenge everything they know about how to be a hero, and what it means to be Hawkeye. In an interview with Marvel.com, Lemire assures fans of the previous ongoing series that a few things will carry over, except with a new spin:

“To me, Kate is an equal to Clint in terms of who the ‘star’ of the book is. It’s equal billing. It will be as much Kate’s story as it is Clint’s. The threat they’ll be facing is very much something new. And it’s not strictly a big bombastic super-villain-y kind of thing. It’s something that hits them both on a much more personal level.”

However, the writer is clear that they aim to make their own impact with this new Hawkeye book:

“Matt Fraction, David Aja, and Annie Wu, in my opinion, set the bar in terms of bringing a personal point of view and a singular aesthetic to a modern super hero comic. So, for me, I knew I needed to do the same. Ramon and I want to create our own world the way they did. And bring our own voices to the characters.”

Lemire and Perez certainly have big shoes to fill following what many would consider a modern classic, but before the first issue is released, get the first look at the cover and a few interiors below:
