It isn’t every day that we get a slew of new footage and alternate endings of a film outside of the special edition Blu-ray but ‘Evil Dead’ delivered just that! A recent viewing on the UK’s Channel 4 has shown an edition that featured new footage and an alternate ending! Fede Alvarez’s 2013 release of the film has met with mixed reviews though I have to say it was a great watch.

With so much new footage one has to ask if we are being treated to a new special edition of the film early or did someone send out the wrong copy? Its hard to say but they are absolutely worth checking out for fans of the movie. It seems that there was a lot of new footage to the movie though I can’t say for sure how much ended up being added in.

What I can show you though first is are three of the deleted clips that we know did make it into the UK release:

Next up is the alternate ending to the movie:

Honestly I can see why most of these were cut as while good, they didn’t really add anything and it was no loss for them not being there. As to the ending itself? I think I enjoyed the theatrical release more.

Did you enjoy the new cut scenes from the film? Do you think the ending that Alvarez showed us was better or worse than the one we saw at the end here? Share your thoughts below!
