Even though April is still a way away, there are still a few opportunities for fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ to get their fix before season five of HBO’s acclaimed fantasy drama debuts. Starting this Friday, the final two episodes from last season will play in select IMAX theaters with an exclusive trailer for the upcoming season. However, if that’s still too far away for you, we have some new teasers to temporarily take you back to Westeros courtesy of the three-eyed raven.
In the world of George R.R. Martin’s ‘Game of Thrones,’ the Sight is the ability to experience past, present, and future events in dreams. Bran Stark and Jojen Reed both possess these talents of the Greenseers, but thanks to Watchers on the Wall, you too can have the power as the elusive and mysterious bird shows us some quick glances of what has happened and what is yet to come in these two extremely brief teasers. Of course, a good bit of it is old footage, but carefully comb through the videos below and you’ll be sure to catch something new here and there:
On top of these quick peeks at season five, we have some details from Entertainment Weekly about the special premiering on HBO next month. Titled ‘Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life’, the half-hour documentary “covers one day of season 5 production on three different Thrones sets in three different countries – Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Sevilla and Osuna, Spain”. This unprecedented look at one of today’s most popular shows promises to highlight “the epic sets, renowned cast and global scale of Thrones, as well as the more intimate and individual challenges of our subjects, giving the audience a new perspective on one of the most elaborate productions in television history.” So in addition to these teasers and the IMAX presentation, be on the lookout for this special on February 8, 2015 at 7:30pm.
