Yes folks, Marvel is releasing the dollar menu of comics by giving us a throwback to days gone by and it’s just in time for their upcoming ‘Secret Wars‘ event that seems to be referencing each and every one of these stories, alternate universes, and timelines. For just a buck you’ll be able to snag the first chapter in ‘Civil War,’ ‘Age of Apocalypse,’ ‘Old Man Logan’, ‘Planet Hulk’ and other classic tales.
According to Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel:
“These are some of the most popular stories in recent memory. We’re proud to bring them to fans in a new format that will allow them to sample some of Marvel’s best and brightest gems. Each of these issues are the perfect place to start for fans curious about Miles Morales, the Age of Apocalypse, Civil War and everything in between.”
While some may argue ‘Civil War’ being on that list, the rest of it actually is pretty accurate. For only a dollar, it’s almost as bad as a drug dealer offering the first taste for free! The comics are amazing as is most of these storylines and you are going to want to shell out money to get the rest of them!
