Jason Momoa (‘Game of Thrones‘,’Conan‘) has just spread a little love for fans of ‘Aquaman‘ as he has just announced that he is signed on for four films as the character! Not only that but he gives a few hints of what else we can expect from his character moving forward as he takes on the role of Arthur Curry, known better to all as Aquaman. Recently at a panel at Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil he told some fun details which were captured in the following tweets.
First up? The official announcement of films that he has been signed up for so far in:

One can assume that these would be the stand alone ‘Aquaman’ film, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, and the two Justice League films that are planned to be released after that. For the stand alone ‘Aquaman’ film there is still no director attached. That being said he was clearly a huge fan of ‘Man of Steel’ because his choice for a director is hands down Zack Snyder:
And Momoa wants Zack Snyder, which is a big fan of the director, to direct Aquaman movie. more to come… #CCPX — DCU Movie Page (@dcumoviepage) December 7, 2014
While we knew Momoa would be Aquaman for awhile it sounds like he was hired well before the official announcement broke. We had a rumor of that a year back which he denied a month later. I wonder if that rumor was actually from when he was hired.
Momoa was hired as Aquaman for a LOOOONG time before the official release, but have to keep his mouth shut. #CCPX

I’m pretty sure we’re going to get the newer take on Aquaman in the comics. They would almost have to have him that way to make him interesting for most modern film goers but a little confirmation with the following hints in that direction.
“Aquaman will be a bad-ass, otherwise, they wouldn’t cast me for the role.” – Jason Momoa #CCPX — DCU Movie Page (@dcumoviepage) December 7, 2014
Who would be have picked in the DC Universe if he didn’t end up as Aquaman? Well, aside from how absurd the character has been in many iterations I think that this could be quite a fun role for him!
Momoa says if he was not Aquaman, he wanted to do Lobo. #CCPX
