Marvel Minimates Zombie Villains Sneak Peek

Our friends at Diamond Select Toys recently posted a sneak peek at the new Marvel Minimates ‘Marvel Villains Zombies’ figure 4-pack this week! The most interesting information to come from this, is the massive amount of interchangeable parts and accessories included in this set! We’re getting an alternate head and lab coat for Morbius, alternate head for Doctor Doom, an alternate collar for Sabretooth, and a cane, along with alternate arms, shoes, and torso for Kingpin! This set should be hitting stores in the immediate future!

Avengers Legends Are Infinite

After months of fans thinking the figures they have been waiting for have been canceled, it looks like Hasbro pulled a fast one and just delayed them all! In a surprise reveal this week, Hasbro announced a new Marvel Legends Infinite Series ‘Avengers’ wave, packed full of figures that were supposed to be released over the last year or so as packed in ‘variant’ figures like The Sentry (who was originally an alternate for Hyperion) and classic costume Hawkeye (who was supposed to alternate with modern Hawkeye). Also included in this wave are Iron Fist, Scarlet Witch, Machine Man, Thor, and Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel! To sweeten the pot, Hasbro is including TWO different build-a-figures for this wave, Odin the Allfather and King Thor! Some of their parts appear to be interchangeable, with other parts being more distinctly different. It looks like you may have to double-dip some of these figures if you want to complete both BAF’s, but they look pretty well worth it! The full lineup is as follows:

  • Marvel Legends Avengers Captain Marvel Figure: King Thor Head, Cape and Axe
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Sentry Figure: Odin Arms
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Hawkeye Figure: Odin/King Thor Torso
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Machine Man Figure: King Thor Arms
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Scarlet Witch Figure: Odin Head, Cape and Staff
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Thor Figure: Odin/King Thor Right Leg
  • Marvel Legends Avengers Iron Fist Figure: Odin/King Thor Left Leg

These are expected to hit shelves in early 2015. Be sure to keep an eye out for them! I know Odin certainly is.

Hot Toys Visiting ‘Sleepy Hollow’

It’s been fifteen years since critically acclaimed director Tim Burton took fans to the world of ‘Sleepy Hollow’, and now Hot Toys has decided it’s time to revisit the dark and unsettling town with their one-sixth scale figure of Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane!

This all new figure captures Depp’s likeness with painstaking detail, and comes packed with a ton of goodies like a pile of alternate hands, Crane’s medical bag and tools, and even his autopsy apron! Truly, there has never been a more detailed figure of Burton’s take on Ichabod Crane, so be sure to pre-order yours before the Headless Horseman gets them all! The full release from Hot Toys is below:

The story of Sleepy Hollow had been a popular American fiction since its first publication in 1820. In celebration of the “The World of Tim Burton” exhibition in Japan that begins this November, Hot Toys is delighted to present the Sleepy Hollow: 1/6th scale Ichabod Crane Collectible Figure!

The movie-accurate Ichabod Crane Collectible Figure is specially crafted based on the image of Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane in the film which features a newly developed head sculpt, elegantly-tailored costume, and a number of highly detailed accessories which Ichabod Crane has used in the movie.

NECA’s Rocket Raccoon Blasts Off

Never the ones to be outdone by anybody, the crew at NECA have pulled out all the stops and announced what will probably be one of the most sought after item’s they’ve ever produced (and that is saying something!). NECA has proudly revealed their all new three foot tall Rocket Raccoon prop replica. Yes, you read that right. THREE. FEET. TALL. It’s probably the closest you’ll ever get to owning your very own tiny, hairy, Bradley Cooper. Not that that’s a bad thing, right?

This astounding piece of collector memorabilia is coming to you right out of this years biggest summer box office blockbuster, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Rocket here was created by using the original working digital files from the film itself and is made of foam rubber and latex, While he  won’t be the soft, furry version you’d probably imagine holding, that’s probably for the best as he’ll stay in one piece and won’t shed all over your collection! His tail is set to be packaged separately when he ships but should pop right on easily enough for display. Each three foot tall Rocket Raccoon figure will be hand painted to ensure highly detailed perfection. This is a ‘one run’ limited item, so once they are gone, they are GONE. These guys are expected to retail for between $300 and $400 when they hit shelves in January, with many sites advertising pre-orders on him set at $350.

Predators Are On The Hunt Again

NECA continues to pull on the nostalgia of your heartstrings with the reveal of ‘Predator’ Series 13! This wave is based off of the classic ‘Alien vs. Predator’ comic book pack-in that Kenner included with their figures way back in the early 90’s! NECA has taken those classic designs and given them an overhaul with modernized sculpts and articulation to give these great designs to a whole new generation of ‘Predator’ fans!

Included in this new wave are ‘Cracked Tusk’, ‘Scavage’ and ‘Renegade’. ‘Cracked Tusk’ includes a spear and throwing disc, while Renegade will come with all new weapons that are based on the origina Kenner figure’s pack=ins. Scavage will include a removable mask. These figures are in 7” scale, which means they all stand around 8” tall so that they tower over other 7” scale figures as a Predator should! They feature the standard 25 points of articulation that ‘Predator’ collectors have come to expect from this line. These gus are set to hit retail in March of 2015 in special blister-card packaging as an homage to the classic figures of the early 90’s!

It will have interchangeable right arms so you can decide if you’d rather use the plasma gun or the normal hand for this special battle-damaged Jaeger!

With the release of Romeo Blue, fans are going to be getting their hands on the final Jaeger design that was seen in the film! Romeo Blue was a Mark-1 America Jaeger and was only actually seen in newsreel footage during the film’s prologue, but nonetheless has been a highly sought after figure amongst fans.
