With principal photography completed on the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ film, what better way than to announce the completion by giving us the full title of the movie that we are all dying to see when it is released in 2015? That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the Force is going to be strong in this one as ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ is coming! Not quite ‘The Ancient Fear‘ that it was first rumored to be, but I’ll admit that I like this one a lot better. It is a name that is very fitting with a slew of the rumors that have been coming out about the plot so far.

So how did they announce it to the world? Well on Twitter of course!

So, what could ‘The Force Awakens’ actually mean?

At this point you may want to turn back as we’ll be entering SPOILERS territory.

Well with the film taking place 30 years after the conclusion of what played out in ‘Return of the Jedi’ a lot has been going on in the Universe. There are a lot of rumors about the now bearded Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker that has had him anywhere from missing the entire time to building a new Jedi order to the most recent rumor of Luke having started to go crazy and join the Dark Side.

Wait, What?!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen we have a new rumor that expands about a previous one to share with you today! According to the Making Star Wars site:

I’m told that in the back story for the film, Luke Skywalker does something amazing with the Force. He’s really powerful, more of “wizard than lightsaber wielding warrior.” Basically, Luke Skywalker has a “Force Unleashed” moment and realizes he might be bad for the universe. The aftermath of that event is difficult for Luke.

Luke Skywalker has become the most powerful Jedi ever, but he doesn’t believe he’s the wisest. He doesn’t want to make the mistake his father made by thinking he knows what’s right for the universe. Skywalker becomes somewhat deranged in his seclusion. He is consumed by his fear that if he should return to “society” his power could be misused, he could be manipulated, and he may accidentally hurt the one’s he loves.

For these reasons, to protect the galaxy and himself, Luke retreats into self-imposed exile for many years. I’m told he can’t always control the power. While he sits in a meditative state, he levitates things unconsciously and he’s not always in complete control and he’s never sure if he’s doing the will of the Force or acting on his own passions. Luke is seeing the past, the present, the future, “old friends long gone” and other things that prey upon his sanity.

Luke Skywalker is described as “creepy and frightening in appearance” because you supposedly can see “the fire in his eyes” behind his grizzled appearance during some scenes.

…His absence is the reason things have escalated in the universe.

Wow, so he’s going to have the weight of the universe on his shoulders and he lets it get to him. If this is true we may seem him trying to do good at one point which backfires and that is what causes him to spiral into self doubt. On top of that it could cause him to spiral all the way into being the lead villain of the films! Of course, it wouldn’t surprise me if they hint that the person in charge of the Imperial army is like Luke in the fact that he has a mechanical hand and can use the Force but isn’t actually Skywalker himself.

A nice way to mess with the audience. Either way it’d be a great way on showcasing why ‘The Force Awakens’ in this new film!

All of these could be a prelude, but most of these rumors have him returning after feeling a disturbance in The Force. Could it be from the return of a previously defeated villain or rise of a new potential Jedi? Could it even just be from whatever evil is out there that has characters now searching for the Jedi? There are a lot of rumored plot lines that any one on their own could fit this title and if a few of them are true and work together? Even better!
