In the time between ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, Agent Peggy Carter has been quite busy. We caught up with her post-Steve Rogers life when we saw her star in a Marvel One-Shot and guest star on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’. Then soon she’ll be featured in her very own ABC series, ‘Agent Carter’, starting shortly after the New Year. But fans of Hayley Atwell’s awesome Marvel Cinematic Universe character will get to catch her in a few other places as well before Phase Two wraps up.

After Marvel Studios made their massive Phase Three announcement last week, True Believers have a ton to look forward to in the next five years. However, we still have a few more big steps to take before we get there and it almost all includes Peggy Carter in some way. Previously, we learned that after Joss Whedon couldn’t include her in ‘The Avengers’, he’d finally get his chance to bring her in for ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. But before she assembles with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the big screen, it looks like the Strategic Scientific Reserve founder will return to the small screen once again. According to Entertainment Weekly, Atwell will reprise her role for another guest spot on the November 18th episode of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ titled ‘The Things We Bury’. There are currently no details on how she’ll factor into the ongoing struggle of Director Coulson and his team, but I’d guess that it might have something to do with the Diviner (or the Obelisk) that both S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA are after.

And as if that weren’t enough Peggy Carter, it looks as if we’ll get another dose of her in ‘Ant-Man’. According to Comic Book Movie, a casting call for Peyton Reed’s upcoming film has gone out in the Atlanta area requesting a stand in for Atwell. Here’s the listing that went out:

“NLC is searching for an experienced stand in for Haley Atwell. She is 31, 5’7″, 112 lbs. This will work in November on a Sunday. Please submit to nlcstandin@gmail.com with your headshot, age, height, weight and sizes. Must have experience. Thanks.”

This seemingly confirms rumors from a few months ago that said Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym would have interactions with Agent Carter, Howard Stark, Arnim Zola, and a young Alexander Pierce. Some thought that this might have been a casualty of the script’s reworking after Edgar Wright departed the project early this year, but apparently that isn’t the case. Again, no details are available at this time regarding the circumstances of this appearance, but we here at ScienceFiction.com will be sure to keep you informed as soon as more news breaks.

What do you think about Agent Peggy Carter making more appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before the end of Phase Two? Do you have any theories about why we’ll see her in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and ‘Ant-Man’? And where do you think we’ll see her again in Phase Three? Let us know in the comments below.
