Disney XD may have kicked off ‘Star Wars Rebels‘ with the one hour movie ‘Spark of Rebellion‘ last week, but the actual season premiere starts with ‘Droids in Distress’ and you can now watch it online for free! Well, you can watch it online if you have an account over at WatchDisneyXD.com or if you want you can download it on iTunes. If you don’t have the first option and don’t want to give in to Apple and create an account over there, then we have it here for you to watch!
So what can you expect from the first episode? Well the synopsis of the episode is this:
“The rebels intercept a shipment of weapons intended for the Empire and accidentally end up hosting a pair of droids.”
A pair of droids in the kick off of a galactic conflict? That is one way to pay a bit of tribute to ‘A New Hope.’
With the series already having been renewed for a second season there are going to be quite a few stories for years to come on ‘Star Wars Rebels’ in a galaxy far far away…

Series Synopsis:
The Galactic Empire continues to grow, having seized control of Outer Rim planet Lothal. While innocent citizens struggle against Imperial oppression, the motley crew of the starship Ghost takes on a new member, street orphan Ezra Bridger. As Ezra embarks on missions with the crew to thwart the Empire and assist the citizens of Lothal, he learns what it means to be part of a team, fighting for something larger than himself. With each adventure, Ezra solidifies his place in this new family, while being taught the ways of the Jedi.
