The Earth is dying, and their only hope is for an intrepid group of astronauts to find an inhabitable planet in another solar system.  Their voyage is, predictably, plagued with issues as they must fight for survival in hostile alien environments.  But it’s possible as even these harsh climates are preferable to the disasters occurring back on Earth.

Director Christopher Nolan soars from Gotham City to outer space in a sharp departure, ‘Interstellar’.  Will he be able to rise to the occasion, or could he even elevate the science fiction genre?

The cast stars Matthew McConaughey, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Jessica Chaitin, as well as returning Nolan vets Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine.

Check out these new TV spots below:

As you can see McConaghey leads a group of astronauts into space to find an inhabitable planet, but encounter issues with time as the further they head out, time bends so that every hour on the ship equals seven years back on Earth.  Considering the dire status of the planet when they left, will the planet and its inhabitants, including their families, still be there when (or if) they finally find a new haven?

Are you excited to see Nolan’s spin on space travel?
