If ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’ hasn’t been able to tide you over for the fifth Paranormal Activity film, I’m happy to share with you when you can expect to see the next installment of the franchise and its new title!

Re-titled ‘Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension,’ the film will be released on March 13, 2015 and yes, we’re going to apparently be dealing with an entirely new dimension of ghosts and spirits. I wouldn’t hold my breath on that release date just yet as in the past the film’s release date has changed quite a few times already.

It’s interesting that the film is now getting a March release since the ‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise has been an October staple since the first film. March is usually one of the slower months so it makes you wonder if the series has lost its potential in the eyes of the studio or if they think that it has such a draw that it will raise ticket sales for a usually slow month.

‘Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension’ will be helmed by Greg Plotkin who was both the editor and co-producer for the last three installments of the franchise. While it hasn’t officially been announced, one would assume that it will continue the main series’ storyline that involves Katie and the demon that resides within her. As Katie popped up briefly in the spin-off film of ‘The Marked Ones’ and the new film referencing a full dimension of ghosts, I suspect we might not only be seeing Katie but some entirely new demons or ghosts as well. Will this be an attempt to allow the demons into out world? It’s hard to say until we hear more.

Are you looking forward to the next trip into the haunted world of ‘Paranormal Activity’? Do you think they’ve got a solid base to build off of going forward or are you getting a little tired of this microbudget horror franchise? Share your thoughts below!
