The weather in Central City is looking pretty bleak. When ‘The Flash’ debuts on The CW this fall, the Fastest Man Alive faces a fearsome forecast of foes including the Weather Wizard, Firestorm, Killer Frost, and Captain Cold. Now, another villain has been added to the mix to turn up the heat.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominic Purcell has been cast in the upcoming ‘Arrow’ spinoff as Mick Rory, “a pyromaniac who finds an outlet for his obsession with fire when he teams up with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and becomes the villain known as Heatwave”. The pair of baddies will make their debut in the fourth episode to take on Barry Allen’s speedy alter ego.

Snart will be played by Wentworth Miller, Purcell’s co-star from ‘Prison Break’, the show where the two actors played brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. This reunion marks the first time that they appear together onscreen since the show ended in 2009. With this appearance, Miller and Purcell join other alumni from popular Fox series such as Robert Knepper and Peter Stormare, who have already enlisted in DC Comics’ television universe on the network as The Clock King and Count Vertigo respectively.

What do you think about Dominic Purcell playing Heatwave in ‘The Flash’? Are you looking forward to a ‘Prison Break’ reunion as the actor joins Wentworth Miller as fellow Rogue, Captain Cold? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments below.

‘The Flash’ starring Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Tom Cavanagh, Rick Cosnett, and John Wesley Shipp premieres on October 7, 2014 at 8/7c on The CW.
