Pop stars crossing over to acting can… well, outside of Cher and arguably Justin Timberlake, typically wash out, but will the charming country chanteuse Taylor Swift be able to step outside of her typical profession and score in her supporting role as Rosemary in ‘The Giver‘?
It certainly helps that her character has a musical side to her. The typically blonde singer also took a departure and went brunette for the role as the original Receiver in the movie version of Lois Lowry’s acclaimed YA novel. The movie will focus on Jonas, played by Brenton Thwaites, who is the new Receiver. Jeff Bridges plays the title “Giver” the last possessor of art and music who then bestows these gifts on his young charges.
