As if Black Widow didn’t kick enough ass, Scarlett Johansson‘s latest role as the title character in ‘Lucy’ looks to take her to even greater ass-kicking heights.  The Luc Besson directed film follows Lucy, an unwilling drug mule that begins to undergo a transformation when the drugs she was carrying enter her system. She soon becomes able to tap into her brain’s full potential and over time would eventuall become all-powerful.

In this clip from the movie, Lucy is just beginning to tap into her potential, but even so, it’s… well, enough!  You can watch it for yourself below:

Here is the official synopsis:

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

Luc Besson has done a great job of depicting powerful females in his work, from Anne Parillaud as ‘La Femme Nikita’ (a movie that was both adapted as a US film and recently a TV series), Natalie Portman (in her best known early role) as Mathilda in ‘Léon The Professional’ and Milla Jovovich as Leeloo in ‘The Fifth Element’ as well as ‘Joan of Arc’ in the film of the same name.  That bodes well for this film.

What do you think?  Are you looking forward to this action flick?
