Hot on the heels of four new photos being released, now we have a longer trailer for James Gunn’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ which will premier on August 1st. Based on the Marvel comic, this film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro.
Pratt portrays Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, a human who leads a rough and tumble team of lethal aliens as they must learn to be the good guys to battle Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser, who is after Quill because he stole an object of great power. Assisting Star-Lord are Rocket (Cooper) a gun-slinging raccoon, Groot (Diesel) a sentient tree, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, Gamora (Saldana) and hulking blade master Drax (Bautista).
17 minutes from the movie were screened for audiences on Monday, July 7th and early buzz is extremely favorable. Unfortunately, we don’t have that footage, but you should still enjoy this extended trailer:
