Disney has two new clips out to tease the upcoming release of ‘Maleficent‘. This is their live action take on the retelling of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ with a focus on the origin of Maleficent herselt who is portrayed by Angelina Jolie’s (‘Salt’, ‘Wanted’) in the film. While I’m not usually one for Disney films (Marvel not included), I would be lying if I didn’t say that with each new clip that they release for this film it would really appear that this is the role Jolie was born to play. I have a feeling there is going to be a huge want for her to portray villains going forward in films after this was is released. At least I hope so!
First up we see a “Pretty Bird” and a chance to see Aurora and Diaval meet in the Moors:
In this clip, we see Princess Aurora discover tht Maleficent is the evil fairy that she has been warned about. A snippet of this clip has been seen in prior trailers but here is an extended version of the scene:

Synopsis:
Maleficent” is the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
