Hot Toys Falcon Taking Flight

In a move that surprised no one, Hot Toys recently released a whole slew of new images of their all new 1:6th scale figure of The Falcon based on his appearance in this spring’s blockbuster hit ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. After the release of most other major characters from the film, coupled with some early teaser images of what looked like his wings, many fans had been eagerly awaiting the official announcement of this Falcon figure.

The figure is set to have an impressive wingspan for his flight-pack, which will also have built in LED lighting, and will come with an included ‘flight stand’ so that you’ll be able to display him in some pretty amazing poses on your shelf! Staying true to Hot Toys standards, this figure bears an uncanny resemblance to the actor who plays the Falcon character in the film, Anthony Mackie. If you’re a fan of Captain America, or even just really into Hot Toys figures, this is not going to be one to miss! The Full release from Hot Toys is below:

Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been topping box offices around the world since it was released in theaters! With his distinctive mechanical wings and great performance by Anthony Mackie, Falcon has left a strong impression among fans of the exciting movie! Today Hot Toys is thrilled to present the highly-anticipated 1/6th scale Falcon Collectible Figure.

The movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Anthony Mackie as Falcon in the film and features a finely detailed costume, LED light up flight backpack, Falcon’s signature wings, weapons, and a dynamic figure stand perfect for flight poses. Fans don’t miss this opportunity to pre-order this high-flying ally of Captain America.

Matty Collector Reveals Monstrous SDCC Exclusive

Keeping in tradition with previous years, Matty Collector has begun leaking news about all of their wonderful San Diego Comic Con exclusive toys a few months early so that fans and collectors can drool over the toys they’ll have to either wait in an absurdly long line for, or pay well above the standard price over the internet to obtain. While they kicked things off last week with their Filmation Hordak and Doomsday Bound reveals, this week they’re releasing something with a bit more style to it! After last year’s exclusive Webarella was such a rousing success, this year Mattel has decided to double-up and offer a two-pack of convention exclusive Monster High dolls with their al new Manny Taur and Iris Clops set!

While these new characters names don’t leave much to the imagination (anthropomorphic teenage styled dolls based on the appearance of a Minotaur and a Cyclops), these two are actually some of the most individually stylized dolls released in this series to date. Both feature all new original head-sculpts and as such will probably be very highly sought after by those who collect this series. The release from Matty Collector is posted below for your viewing pleasure:

Monster High® Manny Taur™ & Iris Clops ™ 2-Pack ($40)
SDCC Reveal: Monster HighBull in china shop seeks gentle ghoul with the stars in her eye to help navigate the confusing maze of high school love.

McFarlane to Assassinate Even More

After two successful waves of highly detailed and well articulated figures based on the new-classic game franchise ‘Assassins Creed’, McFarlane Toys has announced that they have an all new third wave of figures set to release this October! This new series of figures will expand the ranks of the Assassins Order with figures based on the stars of the first few games in the series like Altair and Ezio Auditore (both of whom where made as figures previously, but in a larger scale as a part of NECA’s ‘Player Select’ toyline), as well as a new armored edition of Assassins Creed IV’s protagonist Edward Kenway, Edwards mentor Ah Tabai, and an all new ’Secret Assassin’ figure that many are speculating will be based on the protagonist of one of the two all new Assassins Creed games set to release this fall as well! As with the first two waves of McFarlane’s Assassins Creed figures, each figure in the new wave will include a code to unlock exclusive Assassins Creed content in the game! The full release from McFarlane is below:

MCFARLANE TOYS ANNOUNCES AN ALL-ASSASSIN SERIES 3 ACTION FIGURE LINE

Assassin’s Creed® Series 3 brings collectors more great new figures from the blockbuster Assassin’s Creed video game franchise. Series 3 includes all-new characters, outfits, and weapons from the original Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, and even a secret assassin from the next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga. Like all of our Assassin’s Creed figures, each Series 3 collectible will include a unique code to unlock great new Assassin’s Creed content!

SECRET ASSASSIN FIGURE
This fall, McFarlane Toys will bring collectors their first figure from an all-new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga.

ALTAIR IBN-LA’AHAD
The very first Assassin’s Creed game introduced players to the historical adventure series by putting them in control of the powerful and influential Syrian Assassin, Altaïr ibn-La’Ahad. Altaïr embodied the classic look of the Assassins — white robes to blend in with wandering scholars, an iconic blood-red sash around his waist, and a shadowy hood to conceal his identity. Armed with an array of lethal weapons such as the Hidden Blade, Altaïr struck targets throughout the Holy Land in his mission to stop the Templars of the Third Crusade.

EZIO AUDITORE DA FIRENZE
Starting with the second Assassin’s Creed game, players began exploring a new time period, through the memories of another of Desmond Miles’ ancestors — the Italian Assassin, Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The star of three consecutive Assassin’s Creed games, players spent more time as Ezio than any other Assassin, making this charismatic rogue a fast fan-favorite. To offer collectors something strikingly different from the classic Assassin look of Altaïr’s white robes, our first Ezio figure features the Mentor as he appeared in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. His adventure to recover the Masyaf keys that Altaïr had hidden centuries ago featured Ezio clad in a new set of ornate, dark gray robes — far better for the Master Assassin to blend in with the exotic citizens of Constantinople.

EDWARD KENWAY IN MAYAN OUTFIT
Most Assassin’s Creed games have featured a set of “ultimate armor” for your character to unlock, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag brings the series its most powerful outfit yet. Players who unlock the secrets of the Mayan ruins will be rewarded with a special relic: a set of armor created by the legendarily powerful First Civilization! This figure will be available at Target.

AH TABAI
This all-new character, introduced in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, was a powerful Mayan Assassin, and the leader of the Caribbean branch of the Assassin Order. Just as Achilles taught Connor the lethal skills of an Assassin in Assassin’s Creed III, Ah Tabai served as mentor to the pirate Edward Kenway. This figure will be available at Walgreens and other select retailers.

Build out your league of assassins this October!!!

Rides line, the DeLorean is a perfect example of an iconic pop-culture vehicle that fans would love to have on their shelves; especially since this one is in scale and even fit’s a POP! Vinyle Marty McFly figure!  Not to be outdone by themselves, Funko is also releasing an all new Back To The Future themed wave of ReAction retro-styled action figures! This new wave of ReAction figures will consist of Marty McFly, Doc Brown, Biff Tannen and George McFly. While the DeLorean POP!
