Last week, we learned that Hugh Jackman would be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment to promote his new movie, ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. The last time he appeared on Monday Night Raw, he stood in Zack Ryder’s corner and got into an altercation with Dolph Ziggler. This time around, he teamed with Ziggler for a promo in the ring, but was interrupted by Damien Sandow, who was dressed as Magneto. Naturally, what ensued after the Wolverine crossed paths with the Intellectual Savior of the Masses was nothing short of awesome.
While many people might have hoped that we see Weapon X square off against Drax the Destroyer on Raw, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star Dave Bautista had his hands full as he and his Evolution teammates had to deal with the SHIELD. Instead, Jackman had to quell the makeshift Master of Magnetism. While it appeared that Sandow might have gotten the upper hand at one point, the actor showed that “Magneto” didn’t stand a chance and went full berzerker on the verbose villain, much to the delight of the WWE Universe. Unfortunately, Jackman didn’t bring any new footage from the movie, but it’s not like we have to wait too long to see the whole thing in theaters anyway. Even without something exclusive to share, the hip toss that he executed on the Duke of Decency was worth the time they allotted for the segment. As always, Hugh Jackman made quite the impression while visiting WWE Raw. We know that Damien Sandow won’t be forgetting the appearance any time soon. Hopefully we see the actor make a comeback again when ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ rolls around.
