‘Penny’ Dreadful‘ is drawing closer to its May 11th 2014 release date and the latest featurette captures what we’ll be seeing on the show more than any of the others have to date. In the series we follow a fun cast of literary figures that include the likes of Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Dorian Gray who are all coming together in Victorian England. Sure we’ve gotten a feel of who the characters are from the cast bios but this featurette really shows off who the characters truly are. We get a bit of what motivates them and a bit of what draws them together.

I really say that with the trailers and teasers to date that this one is the best one so far! With more of a background on the characters and what will draw them together it had peaked my interest further which they’ve already caught. Sure, we don’t know exactly why they will be all be working together (or even if they will) but we are getting some hints at their individual motivations.
While Dracula himself has yet to be announced, they have referenced many characters from the novel at this point so I suspect he may be making an appearance before the first season concludes.
