The dead will rise again in just a few short weeks as ‘The Walking Dead’ returns to AMC in February. The acclaimed zombie drama based on the comics from Robert Kirkman is gearing up to come back after a mid-season finale that saw the demise of the Governor and the cozy (albeit sickly) prison life that Rick Grimes and his group had adapted to. Shortly after the new year, the first trailer for the second half of the show’s fourth season dropped, but now a new teaser reminds us that these survivors might be in the worst shape that we’ve ever seen them in.

In the latest look at the upcoming half of ‘The Walking Dead’, we see various members of the group from the prison trying to make their way in the world after the devastating series of event that befell them at the prison during the Governor’s attack. There are many questions looking to be answered in the rest of the season, but this new teaser from AMC just brings up even more. You can check it out in the video below, followed by a synopsis for the rest of season four:

Following the devastating events of the mid-season finale, Rick and the group are still reeling from the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the destruction of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else’s fate. What was a challenging life behind fences and walls grows that much more perilous and precious as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested — a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.
