While Stephen King has been enjoying a ton of small screen success as of late with ‘Under the Dome‘, his latest film release of ‘Carrie‘ had mixed reactions. With the upcoming home video release of the film soon upon us, the studio has released these deleted scenes from the film!

While the footage below may not have changed viewers’ opinions that much, they would have fit rather well in the film, at least the last of the cut scenes would have.

First up we’ve got the somewhat tense alternate ending that features that involves a pregnancy!

So that was Gabriella Wilde (‘The Three Musketeers‘, ‘Doctor Who‘) as Sue Snell going through a very intense labor. Clearly things aren’t going quite as easily as one would hope in the scene.

Next up we have two cut scenes. Both feature Julianne Moore (‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1‘,’Hannibal‘) as Carrie’s mother, Margaret White. The first one has her working with a knife in a rather disturbing way. I know you share the same name but this is not what they mean or how you should teach your children to ‘julienne’ vegetables, or yourself for that matter.

Second up we see a young Carrie talking to the neighbor and Julianne Moore as her mother not happy that she would spend any time talking to this scantily clad young woman whose clearly only going to corrupt her daughter. .

Synopsis:

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.
