In a few short days on November 8th, Alan Taylor’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’ will hit theaters to show the world the Asgardian Avenger’s latest adventure. But seeing as all of Marvel Studios’ productions take place in the same world, things are likely to affect other corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Marvel.com, ABC’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will feel the repercussions from the House of Ideas’ latest major motion picture in the show’s November 19th episode titled ‘The Well’. Here’s the official synopsis:

“In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces–one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.”

Directed by ‘Dollhouse’ and ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ alum Jonathan Frakes and written by Monica Owusu-Breen, the episode will feature a number of guest stars such as Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliot Randolph, Michael Graziadei as Jakob Nystrom, Erin Way as Petra Larsen, Toby Wilson as Neils, Alex Neustaedter as Maynard, and Sylvia Brindis as Elena. However, no cast members from Thor’s latest outing like Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, or Christopher Eccleston have been announced to appear. Of course, like Nick Fury’s appearance on the show, they might have some special surprises up their sleeves. Personally, I don’t see the God of Thunder paying his old friend Son of Coul a visit, but maybe someone like Lady Sif or the Warriors Three could pop up if Asgardians are indeed involved.

Are you excited to see ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ crossover with ‘Thor: The Dark World’? What sort of other worldly fare do you think is in store for Coulson and his team? Do you think that it involves the Dark Elves, Asgard, or maybe another realm? Share your theories in the comments below.

‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg airs on Tuesdays at 8:00pm on ABC.
